HIDIMBA DEVI TEMPLE, HIMANCHAL PRADESH

Hidimbi Devi Temple, also known variously as the Hadimba Temple,It is located on a deodar covered hill in Manali, some 3kms from the bus stop and few minutes walk from Old Manali, a hill station in the State of Himāchal Pradesh in north India.  It is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, sister of Hidimba,who was a character in the Indian epic, Mahābhārata. The temple is surrounded by a cedar forest at the foot of the Himālayas. The sanctuary is built over a huge rock jutting out of the ground, which was worshipped as an image of the deity. It is an ancient cave temple built in 1553 by Raja Bahadur Singh. Built over a huge rock, the sanctum is covered by three tiered roof of wooden planks. Rajgir  ( Hindi :  राजगीर ,  Urdu :  راجگیر ‎) is a city and a notified area in  Nalanda district  in the  Indian   state  of  Bihar . The city of Rajgir (ancient Rājagṛha;  Pali : Rājagaha) was the first capital of the kingdom of  Magadha , a state that would eventually evolve into the  Mauryan Empire. Its date of origin is unknown, although ceramics dating to about 1000 BC have been found in the city. Humayun's tomb  (Urdu:  ہمایوں کا مقبرہ ‎   Humayun ka Maqbara ) is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun. The tomb was commissioned by Humayun's first wife Bega Begum (Haji Begum) in 1569-70, and designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, a Persian architect chosen by Bega Begum. It was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent, and is located in Nizamuddin East, Delhi, India, close to the Dina-panah citadel also known as Purana Qila (Old Fort), that Humayun founded in 1533. It was also the first structure to use red sandstone at such a scale .  The tomb was declared a  UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993, and since then has undergone extensive restoration work, which is complete. Bara Imambara  ( Urdu :  بڑا امامباڑا ‎,  Hindi :  बड़ा इमामबाड़ा ) is an  imambara  complex in  Lucknow, India , built by Asaf-ud-Daula ,  Nawab of Lucknow , in 1784. It is also called the Asafi Imambara. Bara  means  big , and an  imambara  is a shrine built by  Shia  Muslims for the purpose of  Azadari . The Bara Imambara is among the grandest buildings of Lucknow, The complex also includes the large  Asfi   mosque , the  bhulbhulayah  (the labyrinth), and  bowli , a step well with running water.
